Build something new

A ledger for two people, a tracker for a club, a notes app that works the way you think. Written in plain PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript so any developer can pick it up years from now.

How a project runs

Four steps, in this order, every time.

  1. 01

    Requirements

    We talk through what you do now, what breaks, and what you need on screen. I write it down and send it back so we agree before anything is built.

  2. 02

    Demo

    A real, clickable version on a private link so you can click through it yourself. Changing your mind here is free, and expected.

  3. 03

    Build

    The full app, with real logins and real data, plus a security pass over authentication, permissions, and input handling before it is called done.

  4. 04

    Handover

    Every file, the database structure, and an install guide written for a person, not a server. You host it on your own account. Nothing depends on me afterward.

One thing worth saying plainly: I do not host finished apps for clients. You keep the code and the hosting, which means you keep control of your own data and there is no bill that has to keep being paid.

Who is behind it

DesktopView is a one person studio. My day job is information security, which is where the habits come from: assume the input is hostile, write the thing down, and never ship a login you would not put your own password behind. The apps started as tools I needed and could not buy. They turned out to be useful to other people too.
